CivEnEx 2001 -Australia's biggest engineering show

CivEnEx 2001, in February next year, will feature 250 outdoor and 80 indoor stands, making it the leading public works and construction trade fair in Australia and the Pacific Region.

After ten years in Penrith, NSW, the event run by the NSW Division of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia, has a new name and a new location at Warwick Farm Racecourse near Liverpool in Sydney's west.

CivEnEx 2001 will run from Thursday 22 February to Saturday 24 February, 2001.

By including a Saturday, private contractors will have the opportunity to attend the event where more than 300 exhibiting companies will showcase their products and services.

CivEnEx 2001 had a humble beginning in 1957 with eight exhibiting companies. Since then it has evolved into the premier event of its type in Australia with hundreds of exhibiting companies and thousands of visitors from government and private industry. The popular Working Display Program for earthmoving equipment will return. Qualified operators will be able to test drive the latest plant and equipment.

CivEnEx 2001 will bring together a wide cross section of visitors, including civil engineers, contractors, elected representatives, purchasing officers, company directors, health professionals, federal, state and local authority officials, architects, landscapers, mining engineers and consultants.

Many of the CivEnEx exhibitors will showcase new products and services for the first time. Over 20 market segments and 70 product categories will be represented.

These will include construction and road building equipment; trucks, trailers and loading equipment; cranes and elevated work platforms; crushing, screening and mining; turf care, landscaping and outdoor design; environmental technology and water treatment; street furniture and playground equipment; arbor equipment, chippers and saws; safety clothing and equipment; engineering and estimating software and computers; pipe testing and maintenance equipment; bridges and pre cast concrete.
