Councils choose Computron's e-Cellerator solutions *Two more Councils have selected Computron Software, a leading, global provider of Internet e-commerce solutions, to play a major role in the replacement of their Local Government information systems. Following swiftly on the heels of the City of Yarra, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and the City of Greater Dandenong have selected Computron's e-Cellerator suite of financial management and information management systems as a part of the total replacement of their Local Government Corporate Computer System. Besides their stated objective of systems that would deliver added functionality and enhance existing business processes, both Councils had an absolute requirement for the system to provide full GST support and be e-commerce enabled. The City of Greater Dandenong is one of Victoria's most significant business and industrial centres. Dandenong Central Business District is Melbourne's second largest retail and commercial centre. "Computron met Greater Dandenong's requirements by providing a financial management solution with flexible account structures, flexible reporting, a friendly user interface and modern technology platform," said Barry Grant, Manager Information Management Services. "The added functionality of end user enquiry and reporting tools, its e-commerce capability and an overall ability to respond rapidly to business and organisational changes in today's environment will ensure that Greater Dandenong is better able to serve the needs of our community." Vice President, Asia Pacific, Ossie Pisanu said that Computron is proud to be the partner of choice for the City of Greater Dandenong and Mornington Peninsula Shire Council. "This brings to 11 the number of Councils who have selected to use Computron's solutions," he said. "With a very short implementation timeframe, our 'on time, on budget' approach has again been amply justified. Besides reaping immediate benefits the Computron e-Cellerator product suite will enable the Councils to rapidly take advantage of the new Internet economy." *Copy supplied by Computron Software For further information on Computron, its products, services and customers, visit the Computron web site at http://www.computronsoftware.com. |
